Miracle1: Teens in photo with their mother.
Miracle2; Teens smiling, more or less…
Do you come home from a holiday and realise there are no photos of you beacause it was you using the camera all holiday long? I usually do.
But on the recent trip to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, I bought an underwater camera which the kids loved and demanded to use, and even made me pose for them.
That’s me snorkelling. Should be entitled ‘Seana in her natural habitat.’
I took loads of photos of the kids too. Above and below the water. Ms8 adored the snorkelling, once she got used to it.
Here’s me having a wee lie down on the deck of the yacht we spend two days and a night on.
And me totally posing. God, I do love being out at sea. The landlubber life is not for me.
Here’s No.1 son going into the sea for his first ever scuba dive. I was so proud of him, and not a little concerned. But the instructor was patient and thorough and kept a very close eye on him.
Look, me again… and a semi-smiling Teen15, a thrilling vision.
My favourite shot from our whole trip is this one of Rusty Rocket, he needed quite a bit of encouragement and support to get comfy snorkelling in deep water. Once he did, he was my wee snorkel buddy all the time.
Yet more posing in my cossie. Man, this is so far removed from everyday life in Sydney. Take me back.
Cheers! A cup of tea and a wide cheesy grin… and why not, it really was a great trip on that boat.
Once I’ve sorted through all the photos, I’ll write a more useful post on where we went, what we did, tips before you go etc etc.
But right now, I’m just thrilled to have some photos of myself amongst the ones of the beloved foursome.
Even see a holiday snap of yourself?
Or do you make sure you get some as a matter of principle?
